Capitol Club Chapter Awards
December 2022:
Mr. Barry Fell received the Chapter's "Distinguished Lifetime EW Legacy Award" honoring and commemorating his decades of service and
leadership to the EW domain and his entire distinguished career and service to
the AOC and our Chapter. Mr. Fell,
currently at Mitre Corp and Shaffer before that, created an everlasting impact
throughout the decades, uniquely influencing the capabilities and effectiveness
of the entire EW community and its technical enterprise. The award recognized Mr. Fell’s legacy earned
through superior performance, constant dedication, and initiative serving in
key positions requiring his vast technical skill and proven managerial leadership.
Mr. Anthony “Tony” Grieco received the “Distinguished Lifetime EW Legacy Award" honoring decades of service and leadership to the entire EW
enterprise, along with his distinguished career and service to the ideals and
goals of the AOC. Mr. Grieco, as a
Senior Executive Staff in the Department of Defense, created and sustained an
everlasting impact by enabling growth and sustainment of EW capabilities
throughout the Armed Services. He
greatly influenced the scientific development, tactical application, and
acquisition management of EW systems, providing required ground, ship, and
aircraft-based capabilities to countless Warfighters and their supporting
technical and programmatic Staffs, Labs, and Offices.
Ms. Glorianne O’Neilin
received the "Distinguished Service and Managerial Excellence Award"
recognizing her many years of service and leadership to
the AOC, both at the National Headquarters Office and with our Capitol
Club
Chapter. We honored Glorianne’s
distinguished career and dedicated service to the ideals and goals of
the AOC,
continuing to create an everlasting impact on countless Crows throughout
the
world while greatly influencing and enabled the capabilities and
effectiveness
of the AOC and our Capitol Club Chapter, always willing to serve and
support us, especially under demanding and challenging conditions.
December 2021:
Curt Herrick, Colonel, US Army (Retired) received the Chapter's "Distinguished Lifetime EW Legacy Award" honoring and commemorating
decades of service and leadership to the EW domain pertaining primarily to the
development, testing, and fielding of critical Aircraft Survivability Equipment
for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. We
recognized and honored an entire distinguished Army and post-Army career as an
everlasting legacy which greatly impacted the capabilities and effectiveness of
the U.S. Army and industry partners.
Most importantly, this award honors the unique impact his legacy
throughout the decades on countless Soldiers, Government Service team members,
and corporate civilians. COL (Ret)
Herrick earned this legacy through superior performance, constant dedication,
and skilled initiative- serving in key leadership positions in operational
units, especially in combat, then serving on senior level staffs, and
transitioning into the Materiel Acquisition Management discipline as a Program
Manager for both AH-64 Apache and Aircraft Survivability Equipment.
Dr, Leslie Gruis received the "Distinguished Technical Excellence & Service Award" recognizing her superior performance, constant dedication,
and skilled initiative to build and sustain our Chapter's STEM program, and to
provide vast technical expertise through tutorials and virtual meetings to
enable EW Stakeholders. Leslie’s proven
leadership, tireless energy, and managerial expertise provided immeasurable
gains while enhancing the Chapter's mission effectiveness. The Capitol Club Chapter honored her ability
to educate and invigorate the minds of many, especially the young who will
provide the foundation for the AOC's future and the future of the EO/IO
domain. She remains a steadfast force
who serves ably and willingly on the chapter’s Board of Directors, always
providing essential know-how and drive needed for the successful operation of
the Capitol Club.
